Imagine being a child in Ladakh, India. It is a beautiful but challenging place, where extreme poverty is a reality for many. But even so, people are full of dreams and illusions, constantly struggling to have the minimum conditions to survive.
The Chile-India Children’s Aid Program (PAI) is a seed of hope for them. Through it, we provide economic support to people from 0 to 19 years old who live in extreme poverty in this region.
Generosity is a very powerful action that connects us with others and with a greater purpose. From a Buddhist point of view, genuine generosity generates a great deal of positive karma. Sharing what we have, without expecting anything in return, not only benefits others, but also allows us to experience personal satisfaction.
We have the ability to transform a person’s childhood and our own lives by opening our hearts and cultivating compassion, empathy and kindness. These are undoubtedly qualities that make us live a meaningful life.
By making a donation you will be creating the conditions for a better life. Your donation, no matter the amount, will make a big difference in their lives.
Nestled in the heart of the Indian Himalayas, Ladakh is a place of breathtaking beauty. However, its inhabitants face daily challenges due to the extreme climate and scarcity of basic resources.
Its inhabitants mostly live in rural areas, facing challenging living conditions such as: scarcity of drinking water, electricity and limited access to basic services such as education and health. In addition to geographical isolation and extreme climate.
According to the United Nations, 80% of Ladakh’s population lives on less than $2 per day.

Moved by the desire to provide a better childhood for the children of Ladakh, we created the Chile-India Children’s Aid Program (PAI). Our mission is to provide the children of Ladakh with an economic contribution that will allow them to cover their basic needs and build a better future.
This is led by the Mahayana Otzer Ling Buddhist Foundation Otzer Ling Chile, a non-profit organization.

Our program is inspired by the teachings of Venerable Drubpon Otzer Rinpoche, a Buddhist master living in Chile who guides us with his wisdom and compassion. Thanks to his vision, we are working to improve the quality of life of the most vulnerable children in Ladakh.

The team is made up of passionate and committed volunteers in India and Chile, who work in different tasks to raise funds to carry out the objective of the program, that is, to generate a positive impact on the children of Ladakh and their families.
The benefactors of the program, whom we call godfathers or godmothers of the benefited children, are people who, moved by generosity, commit themselves to a monthly donation of $30,123 for at least one year.
There are also benefactors who can make a one-time financial contribution of any amount.
Currently, the Chile India child relief program has about twenty beneficiaries and continues to add new children.
Your contribution can change the life and future of the children of Ladakh.

You can donate $30.123 (thirty thousand one hundred and twenty-three chilean pesos) monthly for a minimum of 1 year.

You can make a one-time donation of any amount you wish.
Just write to us expressing your intention to collaborate, our team will contact you and guide you through the process.
